The 2015 SEC football schedule was released on Tuesday evening.
We already knew who the Vols would be playing, but now we know when they’ll be playing.
There are also a few changes to the schedule. There will be no conference games in week one.
Also, the conference is going with a 13 week schedule this year, with each team only getting one bye week.
Tennessee’s bye week will come on October 17.
Some notable things about Tennessee’s 2015 schedule:
- Tennessee opens the season with a neutral site game for the first time since 2012 against NC State.
- The Vols return to opening the SEC schedule against Florida in September.
- Tennessee plays Kentucky in October instead of November.
- Tennessee’s SEC West opponent in 2015 is Arkansas.
The Vols’ 2015 schedule, as always, will be another tough one for Butch Jones and company.
Fortunately for the Vols, they get to play Oklahoma at home in 2015, as they played in Norman in 2014.
By the way, we’ll spare you of any “way too early” game-by-game predictions.
Trying to predict 2015 games, before the 2014 season has even ended, is just pure foolishness.
