The college football season is exactly halfway over, and it’s time for the Tennessee Volunteers to receive their midterms for the season. Just like the rest of the students at UT, it’s time for the football team to receive their evaluation of their performance at the midway point.

At 3-3, the Vols are largely where most people expected them to be. Even though the loss to the Florida Gators was disappointing, it still leaves them reasonably within grasp of the 6-win plateau.

But this isn’t about the future for the Vols. This report card is all about what they’ve done so far, and so far there have been plenty of surprises, both good and bad, for the young Vols.
