While everyone is concerned about the Vols’ offensive line in 2014, you have to wonder how much better it will be in 2015.
The Vols don’t have some magic answer they can throw out there to alleviate their growing pains, but they will have the help of Charles Mosley in 2015.
Mosley, who is red-shirting after breaking his leg in an auto accident on the way back to Tennessee’s campus this past summer, tweeted on Monday night to look out for him in the Vols’ 2015 spring game.
Mosley’s recovery seems to be going very well (we saw him walking around on the sidelines prior to the Florida game with no noticeable limp or brace) and he should be able to contribute next season.
The Tennessee native was signed as a offensive lineman/defensive tackle, but I think there’s little doubt at this point that he’ll be playing on the offensive side of the ball. Tennessee is suddenly looking very good along the defensive line. The added depth would be nice, but the offensive line has to be fixed before defensive line depth issues are addressed.
Charles Mosley won’t be the savior of the offensive line, but he should certainly help the Volunteers take a step forward in that department.
