Four-Star Offensive Tackle Has Vols In Top Three

The Vols’ lack of depth along the offensive line is old news at this point.

That lack of depth, while hurting Tennessee this season, is a huge selling point in the world of recruiting.

Which might be why four-star 2015 offensive tackle Matthew Burrell has the Vols in his top three.

Burrell, 6’5″/302 lbs from Woodbridge, VA (C. D. Hylton), is rated by 247Sports as the fifth best player in the state of Virginia and the 96th overall player in the nation.

Burrell was in Knoxville for the Vols’ heartbreaking loss to Florida on October 4. He visited Penn State this past weekend.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball points to Ohio State for the Virginia native, but it definitely looks like Tennessee is climbing his list. He’d be a solid pickup for Butch Jones and the Volunteers.
