When Tennessee and South Carolina take the field on Saturday night, there will be stark contrast between the teams’ uniforms.
South Carolina will be wearing all black, while the Vols will be going with their all white “storm trooper” look.
The Gamecocks are 1-5 since 2009 when they wear black jerseys.
It’s also worth noting, however, that Tennessee has yet to win a game under Butch Jones when wearing all-white (their lone win on the road came against Kentucky last season when they went with orange pants).
Of course we all know that uniforms have absolutely no bearing on the outcome of a game.
Though I imagine if the Gamecocks lose a sixth game while wearing black jerseys, the head ball coach might consider retiring them.
