A little over a month ago, Vol fans went into a frenzy due to several tweets exchanged between Atlanta based rapper Lil Jon and the official Volunteers football twitter account.
Rumors immediately started swirling that perhaps Lil Jon would be making a visit to Neyland Stadium for Tennessee’s game against Florida. That wasn’t possible due to the rapper’s travel schedule (Lil Jon was in South Africa at the time), but a video message featuring Lil Jon was shown to the raucous Big Orange crowd before the Vols’ game against the Gators.
On Sunday, Lil Jon finally came face-to-face with the Volunteers’ football program. He attended practice, according to the @Vol_Football Twitter account.

Tennessee’s relationship with Lil Jon came to fruition thanks to the Vols’ usage of “Third Down for What”. The playing of the song at Neyland seemed trivial before the season, but has turned out to bring the Volunteers plenty of welcome attention.
It also helped them apparently turn a Georgia fan into a Vol fan.
It’s not every day you see that happen.
