The Tennessee Volunteers need to win two of their final three games to reach bowl eligibility for the first time since 2010.
The schedule is favorable for the Volunteers, playing Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt in their final stretch of the season. The games against Kentucky and Missouri will be played in Knoxville.
On Monday, the SEC announced that Tennessee’s game against Missouri on November 22 will kick off at 7:30 PM ET and air on either ESPN or SEC Network.
The Vols have yet to beat Missouri since the Tigers joined the SEC.
Tennessee lost a four overtime thriller against Missouri in 2012. Last season, the Vols, in Joshua Dobbs’ first start as a Vol, were blown out by the Tigers.
Dobbs will once again get the start against Missouri, but the Vols’ offense is in a much different place than it was a year ago. Or even a few weeks ago.
Tennessee has a chance to win out and finish with seven wins, but Missouri’s stout defense will try to prevent that from happening. The Tigers’ offense has been abysmal this season, but they’ve been able to climb to the top of the SEC East despite their offensive woes.
