Last week: Lost to Clemson, 35-21

A nightmarish season finally came to an end for Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks, in the worst way possible — losing to Clemson.

South Carolina, a team that many predicted to win the SEC East, finished the season by losing to Clemson for the first time since 2008. The loss dropped the Gamecocks to 6-6 on the season.

Defense was a major issue for South Carolina all season. Blown leads and massive amounts of yards allowed are what we will all remember about the 2014 Gamecocks.

If things don’t get better in 2015, the head ball coach might finally decide he’d rather worry about daily tee times instead of practice schedules.
