TaxSlayer Bowl: Dale Earnhardt Jr To Handle Coin Toss Duties

Coin tosses were not kind to the Tennessee Volunteers in 2014, winning only 2 of 12 tosses.
Perhaps their fortune will change when the calender turns to 2015.
The Vols are all set to play Iowa on January 2 in the Gator Bowl and the Vols, as the home team, will get the opportunity to call the toss that will come from NASCAR’s Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Dale JR, who saw a career resurgence in 2014, is a fan of South Carolina.
But then again, Lil Jon was a Georgia fan…..until Butch Jones had his say in the matter.
It wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see a photo of Dale Jr in a Tennessee shirt on January 2.
I also wouldn’t put it past Jones to get Dale Jr to Knoxville at some point. Jones is a master at turning any connection into a recruiting advantage.
Considering South Carolina’s downhill slide, it shouldn’t be too hard to sway Dale JR to the Orange side.
