The Tennessee Volunteers continued passing out scholarship offers on Thursday, offering four-star 2016 running back Matthew Falcon.

Falcon, 6’1″/215 lbs from Southfield, MI (Southfield), is rated by 247Sports as the seventh best 2016 player in the state of Michigan and the 18th best 2016 running back in the nation.

The Michigan native has offers from Akron, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, NC State, North Carolina, Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Toledo, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.

Butch Jones has some solid recruiting ties in the state of Michigan (13 years of his coaching career before Tennessee was spent in Michigan), but that might not be enough to land Falcon.

Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State will all be going hard after the four-star running back. He’d be a great addition for the Volunteers, but their chances, at best, are minimal at this point.
