Vols Recruiting: Dylan Jackson Decommits From Tennessee
By Zach Ragan
For the second Monday in a row, the Tennessee Volunteers lost a 2015 commit.
Last week it was linebacker Cecil Cherry who decommitted. This week it’s three-star defensive end Dylan Jackson.
Jackson, who is from Maryville, TN, is a 6’6″/245 lb defensive lineman that 247Sports rates as the 20th best 2015 player in the state of Tennessee and the 39th best strong-side defensive end in the nation.
The Tennessee native committed to the Vols nearly a year ago, on January 14, 2014.
It’s never a good thing to lose a commit — especially a local one.
Butch Jones and his staff have done a great job of “owning the state”, but it doesn’t look like that will be the case in Jackson’s recruitment.
Jackson is obviously a solid recruit, as evidenced by his accolades. It looks very likely that the former Vol commit will end up at LSU.
