Vols Recruiting: Rocky Reid Still Committed To Tennessee

Rumors began circulating on Thursday that 2015 Vol commit Rocky Reid was wavering on his commitment to Tennessee.

While there’s no guarantee that Reid, a three-star running back from Concord, NC, will sign with the Vols on National Signing Day, he did at least confirm that he’s still committed to Tennessee.

Reid is one of the 2015 recruits that fans are most excited about. He’s a 6’0″/220 lb powerful running back that has the ability to dominate in short yardage situations.

The Vols, with Reid, Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara, have the potential to have one of the SEC’s top backfields in 2015.

It’s not unusual for recruits to keep their options open and there’s nothing to indicate that Reid is on the verge of not being a Volunteer.

Losing Reid, who took an unofficial visit to Georgia in November, wouldn’t necessarily be devastating for the Vols, but he’s certainly a player they don’t want to let escape.
