Vols Football: Charles Mosley Can Eat Some Ribs

The Tennessee Volunteers are in Jacksonville, FL to prepare for their TaxSlayer Bowl matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes on January 2.

On a typical Tuesday, during game week, the Vols that make up team 118 would be attending class and then heading to practice to prepare for their upcoming game.

But when your game is being played in January, it means your preparation is altered a bit.

The Vols, who are in the middle of winter break, don’t have a full class schedule to worry about. They still have a bowl game to prepare for, but they also have a lot of extra time to take in the sights and sounds of their bowl location, which happens to be in sunny Jacksonville, FL.

Tennessee’s players and coaches spent plenty of time on the beach on Tuesday, but they also found some time to have a rib eating contest.

True freshman Charles Mosley was the big winner on Tuesday, downing 14 ribs.

It might not surprise you that Mosley won the competition. What will probably surprise you, however, is that Josh Dobbs wasn’t far off the pace set by Mosley.

Dobbs doesn’t look too hot in that image above. Perhaps he shouldn’t try to keep pace with a man that has 150 lbs on him.
