Dobbs received a standing ovation from his teammates after being named the TaxSlayer Bowl Scholar Athlete.
Standing ovation from teammates as @josh_dobbs1 accepts his Scholar Athlete award. Shows how much they respect their young QB @Vol_Football

It should come as no surprise to Vol fans that Dobbs was awarded this honor. His ridiculous course load is well known among fans.
What’s more impressive, at least to me, is the respect that Dobbs has from his teammates. The Vols are a very young team, one that needs a clear leader.
To come off the bench, in the middle of the season, and become the starting quarterback and already have complete respect from your team is more impressive than what Dobbs has done on the field.
But then again, everything Dobbs does is impressive (including narrowly losing to Charles Mosley in a rib eating contest).
