Spoke with @DraeBowles_7 who had only compliments for UT & its staff. Said transfer is solely so that he can contribute more to a team.

Bowles, who was part of Derek Dooley’s final recruiting class at Tennessee, played in 13 career games as a Vol. The Jackson, TN native failed to record any stats during his time on Rocky Top. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at Chattanooga.
Obviously this isn’t a big loss for the Vols. But it is good, however, that Bowles was complimentary of Tennessee’s coaching staff.
Bowles, who is undoubtedly talented but just couldn’t rise up the depth chart, should get an opportunity to contribute with the Mocs.
