Nathan Peterman Still Enrolled At Tennessee

Rumors began circulating on Wednesday that Vols quarterback Nathan Peterman was no longer listed in the Tennessee student directory, which would seem to indicate that a transfer was imminent.

But according to Dustin Dopirak of the Knoxville News Sentinel, Peterman is enrolled in graduate classes at UT.

Peterman, in his third year with the program, graduated from Tennessee in December.

A transfer, on some levels, would’ve made sense for Peterman.

Josh Dobbs has a stronghold on the starting job heading into next season. Plus the Vols are bringing in 2015 QB recruits Quinten Dormady and Jauan Jennings.

But we all know that Peterman is a Dobbs injury away from being the guy. As romantic as the thought of a true freshman coming in an saving the day is for Vol fans, that’s not likely to be reality.

Peterman has been in Butch Jones’ offense for two seasons. As bad as he looked against Florida in 2013 and Alabama this past season, if something happens to Dobbs, Peterman will be the best option for Tennessee.
