2. Vols Celebrate First Bowl In Seven Years
If you would’ve told Vol fans on January 1, 2008 that Tennessee wouldn’t win another bowl game for eight years, they would’ve looked at you like you were the craziest of crazy.
But that’s exactly what transpired over seven anguish filled seasons.
The Vols looked like the most snake-bitten program in the nation at times over the last few years, but they’re finally on their way again.
Tennessee’s celebration on January 2 wasn’t just to celebrate the Vols beating Iowa in the Gator Bowl, it was to also celebrate the return of Tennessee football to relevance.
