5. Marlin Lane Gets Carried Onto Field To Celebrate Win With Teammates

Tennessee’s overtime win against South Carolina was a defining moment for Butch Jones as the Volunteers’ head coach.

The Vols overcame a 14 point deficit late in the fourth quarter to beat South Carolina on the road. It was Tennessee’s first road win against a team not named Vanderbilt or Kentucky since 2007.

Tennessee, after years of losing these types of games, finally broke through and won a close one, instead of suffering heartache.

The team, obviously, celebrated big time after the win. Senior running back Marlin Lane, who was injured and forced to the locker room earlier in the game, wasn’t on the field for the celebration.

That is until AJ Johnson and Curt Maggitt carried Lane onto the field to celebrate with the rest of team 118.

It was a touching a moment on a big night for the Vols.
