Kyle Phillips — Defensive End

Are you starting to get the feeling that Tennessee’s defensive line in 2015 — and beyond — is going to be completely ridiculous?

Yeah, me too.

Kyle Phillips, one of the top rated 2015 players in the state of Tennessee, is a guy that could make an impact like Derek Barnett made in 2014. The Nashville native was more than impressive in the recently played Army All-American game.

The only thing that will hold Phillips back in 2015 is opportunity.

Barnett, obviously, is going to play as many snaps as he can handle. And Curt Maggitt made a seamless transition to defensive end in 2014, leading the team in sacks (11).

But you should still see plenty of Kyle Phillips. The added talent will allow Jones and his staff to sub a bit more than they did in 2014.
