Keep in mind that this is a list of players that could make an impact in 2015.

It’s not unheard of for a freshman to start on the offensive line at the college level. Jashon Robertson did it this past season for the Vols, starting every game at right guard. Ja’Wuan James did it at Tennessee in 2010, starting every game at right tackle.

While it’s unlikely that Jack Jones will start every game as a freshman, it’s quite possible that he sees some meaningful playing time.

Tennessee’s offensive line, as you know, wasn’t exactly a thing of beauty in 2014.

The line improved as the season progressed (thanks in part to Josh Dobbs’ legs), but there still a lot to be desired.

Conventional wisdom suggests that redshirt junior Dontavius Blair will be Tennessee’s left tackle in 2015. But we also thought that same thing last season.

Nothing is a given, especially when a guy has never played in a collegiate game.

Jack Jones will attempt to win significant playing time in 2015. And there’s no reason to think he can’t.
