If you’ve done a fair amount of traveling, you’re probably acutely aware of the fact that Vol nation stretches all across the country.
Anytime I’m on vacation, I almost always run into a plethora of Vol fans.
And it’s not that I don’t run into my fair share of fans from other schools, it’s just that Tennessee fans wear their fandom loud and proud.
But what do you do when you’re a Vol fan and you must wear a strict uniform?
Well in that case, you get creative.
Check out the pilot that stopped Tennessee running backs coach Robert Gillespie after a recent flight.
Pilot stopped me as I was getting off of my flight today!Look what's under his hat! #EveryWhereYouGo #VolNation #Vols pic.twitter.com/NPwauwy5hp

It’s hard to tell from the photo where the exchange took place, but the background looks more like the plains of the midwest, rather than the smoky mountains. In either case, considering this is the airline industry we’re talking about, it’s hardly indicative of the origin of the pilot.
Whatever the case, the point remains the same — Vol nation is as far reaching as any collegiate program in the nation.
