This will be the first date that fans can get a look at newcomers such as Shy Tuttle, Kyle Phillips, Quinten Dormady and Jauan Jennings.
The Vols will look to increase the number of fans in attendance for the third straight season under Butch Jones. Being able to see future defensive line stars like Phillips and Tuttle for the first time will certainly help the Volunteers to perhaps best their numbers from the previous two seasons.
Tennessee had 68,548 fans in attendance for the 2014 spring game, up from 61,076 in 2013 (Butch Jones’ first spring game at UT).
If the Vols can draw at least 51,526 fans, it means that Tennessee will have drawn more fans to their spring games in the first three seasons of the Butch Jones era than Tennessee did in the five years prior (under three different coaches) to Jones’ arrival.
That just proves that Vol Nation is firmly behind Butch Jones and the staff on Rocky Top.
