Vols Recruiting: JaQua Daniels Offered By Tennessee

Four-star 2016 running back JaQua Daniels was reportedly offered by the Tennessee Volunteers this week.

Daniels is a 6’1″/209 lb running back from Athens, GA (Clarke Central). 247Sports rates him as the 16th best 2016 player in the state of Georgia and the 13th best 2016 running back in the nation.

The only other reported offer for Daniels, according to 247Sports, is from Georgia.

That should tell you that other schools look at Daniels as a lock to ultimately sign with Georgia.

And they’d probably be correct to think that way.

That would be like another school coming to Knoxville and wooing Todd Kelly Jr away from Tennessee. It’s just not likely. However, I applaud the Vols for doing their due diligence and offering players that can help the program.

The Vol coaching staff works hard and while it’s highly unlikely they’ll be much of a factor in JaQua Daniels’ recruitment, you still have to put the offers out there.

We’ve said it a hundred times here, but it always bears repeating — you just never know in the world of recruiting.
