Ethan Wolf — Tight End
Sophomore
Ethan Wolf played well as a freshman. He had a catch in his first nine career games and finished the season with 23 receptions for 212 yards.
Modest numbers for a true freshman.
But the Ohio native has the ability to put up much bigger numbers.
And with Daniel Helm out of the picture, Wolf will need to put up those bigger numbers.
The Vols need to utilize their tight end more often. Wolf is a guy that can create mismatches and make defenses pay.
Most opposing linebackers aren’t going to be able to cover Wolf very effectively. But that won’t matter unless Tennessee makes a concerted effort to get Wolf the ball.
Ethan Wolf has the tools to have a big season in 2015. And unlike the two players before him on this list, Wolf still has plenty of time left to make an impact at Tennessee. A breakout sophomore season would be nice to see from the Vols’ top tight end option.
