Camion Patrick Claims Offer From Vols

If you closely follow Vols recruiting, then you’re probably already familiar with Camion Patrick’s name.

That’s because the 6’3″ wide receiver from Knoxville originally committed to Tennessee in 2012 when Derek Dooley was the Vols’ head coach.

It didn’t work out for Patrick back then, as he was ruled academically ineligible and was forced to enroll at East Mississippi Community College.

But now it looks like the former three-star Knoxville West standout might have a place at Tennessee after all.

Patrick tweeted on Wednesday night that he picked up an offer from the Vols.

The former Vol commit took an unofficial visit to Tennessee in December, before the recruiting dead period, according to 247Sports.

Patrick told the Knoxville News Sentinel in December, before his unofficial visit, that “UT is still my favorite”.

Tennessee recently had to pull an offer from defensive end Marques Ford, due to the fact that they can only sign so many players (likely 29 or 30….UT currently has 27 commits). So it’s not a certainty that there will be enough room for Patrick.

The Vols still have a couple of guys on their recruiting wishlist. However, if Patrick is one of those guys, it’s very, very possible he does indeed end up on Rocky Top.
