Former Vol Commit Chooses Stanford
By Zach Ragan
Former Vol commit Dylan Jackson, a three-star recruit from Maryville, TN (Maryville), committed to Stanford on Sunday evening.
Jackson originally committed to his hometown Tennessee Vols way back in January, 2014.
The 6’6″/245 lb defensive end decommitted from the Vols in December.
Tennessee, already loaded with defensive end talent, won’t be affected too much by the loss of Jackson, though it’s always tough to see local talent leave the state.
There’s no questioning that some of the Vols’ current defensive end commits are more highly touted than Jackson, but those ratings don’t mean anything once the players take the field.
Jackson, who also had offers from Alabama and LSU, is a solid recruit that should make an impact at Stanford.
