Kahlil McKenzie Recruiting Drew Richmond To Tennessee

Tennessee’s 2015 recruiting class currently stands at 28 members.

But if Vol commit Kahlil McKenzie has his way, the Vols will have at least 29 signees on February 4.

McKenzie, a five-star defensive tackle that will sign with the Vols next Wednesday, is actively recruiting four-star offensive tackle Drew Richmond to Tennessee.

Richmond, 6’5″/310 lbs from Memphis, TN (Memphis University School), is currently committed to Ole Miss, but he is taking an official visit to Tennessee this upcoming weekend. He was suppose to also visit Alabama, but that visit has reportedly been nixed.

Getting Richmond’s final visit before signing day is absolutely huge for the Volunteers.

There’s a real sense of optimism, given Butch Jones’ proven recruiting skills, that Tennessee can flip Richmond.

And there’s also the fact that McKenzie is bearing down hard on the Memphis native.

McKenzie put the full court press on the currently enrolled Shy Tuttle before his announcement date and he’s employing the same method with Richmond.

If the Vols can flip Richmond, it would certainly make Tennessee’s 2015 recruiting class as complete as any fan could hope for.
