2017 four-star defensive end MJ Webb picked up an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on Thursday afternoon.

Webb, 6’3″/260 lbs from Madison, GA (Morgan County), is considered one of the top players in the 2017 recruiting class.

247Sports rates Webb as the 39th overall player in the nation and the second best strong-side defensive end in the 2017 class.

Webb currently holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Penn State, in addition to his offer from the Vols.

All four of the current 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have Webb committing to Georgia.

Tennessee doesn’t currently have any 2017 commitments.

Butch Jones will have to go up against some of the top teams in the nation in order to land Webb, but he’s already proved he’s more than capable of winning intense recruiting battles.
