The thought of Kyle Phillips and Derek Barnett on the same defensive line has to be scary to the rest of the SEC — specifically the quarterbacks in the SEC East.
Phillips, an early enrollee who reportedly won’t go through spring practice due to injury, should immediately contribute in 2015. He’s talented enough to be the second coming of Barnett.
A defensive end rotation of Maggitt, Barnett and Phillips could wreak havoc in the SEC next season.
