There are reports that Kirkland Jr, an early enrollee at Tennessee, will miss spring practice due to injury.

However, even if that is the case, Kirkland Jr should still be in the Vols’ 2015 plans.

The Vols don’t have a definite answer at middle linebacker next season and Kirkland Jr is one of the better options.

Even if Kirkland Jr doesn’t immediately win a job out of camp, he should see plenty of playing time in his first season as a Vol.
