Quay Picou, Defensive Tackle

Another recruit who was lost in the shuffle among the big names on National Signing Day was Quay Picou, a defensive tackle out of Buford, Georgia.

Picou, a three-star defensive tackle, has the versatility to play either defensive tackle or defensive end for the Vols. He’s not extremely large at 6-2, 271 lbs, but he is rather stout and has a good deal of strength.

Tennessee loaded up on the defensive line in the 2015 class, but that will allow players like Picou, who need some time to develop their game and their body, the time they need to improve and become more college-ready.

Picou should eventually flourish for the Vols somewhere along the line. Where that will be remains to be seen.
