Zach Stewart, Offensive Lineman

Tennessee added several capable bodies along the offensive line in their 2015 class, but this lineman, Zach Stewart, didn’t have to travel far to join the Vols.

Hailing from Coalfield, TN, Zach Stewart is one of the five projected offensive linemen in Tennessee’s 2015 signing class. His hometown is about a 35 mile drive from Knoxville, and Stewart received an early offer from the Vols back in March of 2013, and he committed just a month later.

Stewart is a three-star offensive lineman and is rated as the 16th best player in the state. At 6-4, 295 lbs, Stewart already has the size needed to play offensive line in college, and he has the versatility to play either guard or tackle for the Vols. Stewart played both offensive and defensive tackle for Coalfield.

While Stewart may have the intangibles that set him apart from other linemen in this class, he will likely have a lot to work on as a freshman both in the weight room and on the field. He should be able to provide depth this season, but a starting role is likely out of his reach for now.
