2018 Vol Target Picks Up Offer From Vanderbilt

Camron Johnson is only a freshman in high school, but he’s already a highly sought after wide receiver.

The Brentwood, TN (Brentwood Academy) native was first offered by the Vols back in November. Since then, he also picked up an offer from Ole Miss.

On Tuesday, Johnson received a third offer (all from SEC schools), as Vanderbilt offered the talented wide receiver.

Johnson, 6’0″/185 lbs, already has the frame of an SEC wide receiver. Which is ridiculous for a high school freshman, but that’s why he’s already viewed as one of the top 2018 players in the state of Tennessee.

Tennessee showed Johnson how much they think of him, by being the first program to offer him a scholarship. But it will take more than that for the Vols to land one of the state’s top players.

Butch Jones will have to battle some of the region’s top programs for Johnson. However, I think the Vols should have a leg up on their competition in this battle.
