Vols Recruiting: Tre Nixon Offered By Tennessee

2016 three-star wide receiver Tre Nixon picked up an offer from the Tennessee Vols on Wednesday.
Nixon, 6’1″/180 lbs from Melbourne, FL (Viera), is rated by 247Sports as the 53rd best 2016 player in the state of Florida and the 68th best 2016 wide receiver in the nation.
Nixon has notable offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, Texas, Texas A&M and West Virginia, among many others.
Judging from Nixon’s lengthy offer list, he appears to be a bit underrated.
The Florida native is a speedster that reportedly runs the 40 yard dash in 4.39 seconds. His size and speed makes him an ideal fit in Butch Jones’ offense.
75% of the current 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have Nixon committing to Notre Dame, but there’s still plenty of time for the Vols to make a run at the talented wide receiver.
