Quay Picou — Defensive Tackle

Quay Picou is one of the more underrated players in the Vols’ 2015 recruiting class — thanks to the additions of Kahlil McKenzie and Shy Tuttle.

Picou should be a solid player at Tennessee, but with the Vols’ sudden influx of talent at the defensive tackle position, he is another player that might be best suited to learn from the sidelines for a year.

Tennessee is returning defensive tackles Danny O’Brien and Owen Williams, as well as redshirt freshman Charles Mosley (who is still listed on UT’s roster, at this point, as a defensive lineman). The returning defensive tackles will be joined by the aforementioned McKenzie and Tuttle.

That’s a pretty solid group of defensive tackles. Picou would obviously bolster the Volunteers’ depth at the position, but, barring injury, Tennessee now has the luxury of redshirting the talented Georgia native.
