The Tennessee Volunteers football team broke their streak of losing seasons in 2014, going 7-6 on the season after thrashing Iowa 45-28 in the Taxslayer Bowl. 2014 marked the first time since the 2009 season the Vols eclipsed the .500 mark, and it was their first bowl win since the 2008 Cotton Bowl following the 2007 season.

After back-to-back top 10 recruiting classes and the first winning season in half a decade, expectation have risen significantly for the Vols heading into Butch Jones’s 3rd season as head coach. The Vols are becoming the trendy pick to win the SEC East in 2015, and many believe it’s time for Tennessee’s young roster to take the next step.

A lot of focus will be on the newcomers in the 2015 class, but there are plenty of returning players on the roster who could have phenomenal seasons for the Vols. Tennessee returns 18 starters from the 2014 season, but even players who were reserves last season are ready for a breakout year.

Here are the 5 Vols who are poised to have a breakout 2015 season.
