The Ole Miss Rebels made the 2015 NCAA Tournament by the slimmest of margins, selected as a 11 seed in one of the play-in games. The Rebels will face BYU to see who will advance to the actual field of 64 teams.

The Rebels’ appearance this season marks their 1st NCAA Tournament berth since 2013, and it’s only their second since 2002. Ole Miss has only made 8 total appearances and have only advanced past the 1st round 3 times.

2001 saw Ole Miss’s best run in the Tournament when they made the Sweet Sixteen after a thrilling victory over Notre Dame. They would lose to Arizona in the Sweet Sixteen, and they haven’t made it that far since.

Ole Miss has 2 SEC Tournament championships to their name, winning it in 1981 and 2013. They also made appearances in the 1990 and 2001 championship game, losing to Alabama and Kentucky respectively.

The Rebels have had very little NCAA Tournament success, but their 2 SEC Tournament championships give them a little boost. But aside from a couple appearances this half decade, the Rebels have made little noise in the postseason since 2001,
