Vols Football: Charles Mosley Working At Defensive Tackle

Redshirt freshman Charles Mosley was one of Butch Jones’ biggest gets in the 2014 recruiting class.

Unfortunately for Mosley, and the Volunteers, he missed the entire 2014 season due to injuries he sustained in a car accident last summer.

Nearly a year later, Mosley is making his debut on the Vol practice field.

The Memphis native doesn’t necessarily have a set position. Some folks believe he’ll eventually end up along the offensive line, but as of right now, due to depth concerns, Mosley is working as a defensive tackle.

If Mosley sticks on defense, and can be an effective defender, the Vols will go from having a so-so interior defensive line, to one of the best in the SEC.

Tennessee has Owen Williams and Danny O’Brien returning and true freshman Shy Tuttle is already impressing in spring practice.

Oh and lest we not forget about the crown jewel of the Vols’ 2015 recruiting class — five-star stud defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie, who will arrive on campus later this summer.

If everyone stays healthy in 2015, the Vols could be a team that’s nearly impossible to rush the ball against.
