Despite recent rumors that suggested offensive lineman Coleman Thomas is back with the Vols, the sophomore’s status with the team is still “day-to-day”.
Butch Jones said Coleman Thomas's status with the program has not changed and that it's still "day-to-day."

Thomas, who was arrested last month on theft charges, will face a preliminary hearing on April 29 to determine if his case will be sent to a grand jury.
The Virginia native is accused of stealing an Xbox and three games and selling the items to a Game Stop in Knoxville.

Since Thomas’ preliminary hearing isn’t until after the Vols’ Orange & White game, I wouldn’t expect to see him again in spring practice.
We should have a clearer picture of his status with the team after the hearing. If his case doesn’t get sent to a grand jury, then I think he’ll be reinstated rather quickly.
If it does to a grand jury, then that’s a whole different ballgame. That likely means there’s a little more to the situation and I think Thomas’ status with the team could then be in jeopardy.
Thomas started five games at right tackle for the Vols as a true freshman in 2014.
