Nathan Smith, a 6’7″/264 lb 2016 offensive tackle from Murrieta, CA (Murrieta Mesa), received an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on Wednesday.

Smith, a four-star recruit in 247Sports composite rankings, is rated by 247Sports as the 52nd best player in the state of California and the 43rd best offensive tackle in the nation.

The California native has notable offers from Baylor, California, Miami, Notre Dame, Penn State, Oregon, USC, UCLA and West Virginia, among several others.

Tennessee isn’t in dire straits anymore when it comes to offensive linemen, but Smith would still be a good pickup for them if they can wrestle him away from the west coast schools.
