Coleman Thomas Reinstated To Vols Football Team

Sophomore offensive lineman Coleman Thomas has been reinstated to Tennessee’s football team, according to various reports.

Thomas was suspended from all team activities after he was arrested last month for trying to sell a stolen Xbox, three games and a controller.

The charges against the Virginia native were dismissed on Wednesday.

Thomas’ attorney told The Times Free Press that his client was unaware the Xbox was stolen and that he “fully cooperated” with law enforcement.

The Times Free Press also reported that two of Thomas’ former Vol teammates were involved and one of those former teammates was the one who actually stole the items in question.

Thomas, who started five games at right tackle for the Volunteers last season, might not be a starter this season for Tennessee, but there’s no doubt that his loss would’ve affected the Vols’ depth in a very negative way.

It’s obviously great news that Tennessee gets a player back, but it’s even better news, considering recent events on Rocky Top, that there is one less legal matter clouding the air in Knoxville.
