Point guard Lamonte Turner put the Tennessee Volunteers on his final list as a possible destination via Twitter Monday.

The 6’2″ guard out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida recently reclassified to the 2015 class to be eligible to enroll at a school in the summer. The guard is listed as a four-star recruit on multiple recruiting sites.

Florida is expected to be the favorite for Turner right now, but with the questions surrounding Billy Donovan and a move to the NBA, it will be interesting to see if that has any effect on his decision. He is also an Alabama native, and with the emergence of Avery Johnson at Alabama, and Bruce Pearl at Auburn, his home state schools have to be major contenders.

The point guard was last on campus in October when he took an unofficial visit while he was still considered a part of the 2016 class.

What Tennessee can offer him, however, is the chance to play big minutes right away. After Braxton Bonds was required to redshirt, and Ian Chiles was ruled out with injuries, the Volunteers notably had senior guard Josh Richardson running the point guard position all season. It is still unclear what Bonds can do on the court, so the addition of a point guard to the 2015 class is essential for coach Rick Barnes’ tournament expectations.

Turner is expected to make his decision on Tuesday.
