Wednesday Notebook: Vols News And Notes

There are a few news and notes surrounding former and current Vols floating around the web today.

Check out the important stuff below.

  • Shy Tuttle was named as one of the SEC’s standout freshmen in spring practice. Read about him and other standout freshmen at ESPN.
  • Former Vol defensive back Justin Coleman, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent after last weekend’s NFL Draft, will wear number 38 with the Vikings.
  • Former Vol quarterback Justin Worley will report to Cleveland Browns mini-camp on Thursday after receiving an invite. He has not signed with the Browns.
  • Former Vol punter Matt Darr says he expects to get a shot with the Miami Dolphins throughout training camp this summer.
  • Actor Paul Rudd kinda, sorta showed some Vol love on Tuesday. OK, that’s a stretch, but Rudd did wear a “Berry Strong” shirt in support of former Vol, and current Kansas City Chief, Eric Berry.
  • Happy Birthday to former Vols Dustin Colquitt (33), Jason Witten (33) and Trevarris Saulsberry (22)
