Vols Basketball: UT Announces 2016 Matchup With TCU

The Tennessee Volunteers announced on Thursday that they will play TCU, as part of the Big 12/SEC challenge, on January 30, 2016.

Tennessee has only played TCU once before, a 73-59 loss in 1991.
However, Rick Barnes, who is entering his first season as the Vols’ head coach, is 8-0 all time against the Horned Frogs.
TCU is coming off a 18-15 (4-14 Big 12) season.
A win against TCU wouldn’t be a ground breaking victory by any means, but it would be a solid road win for the Volunteers — especially in Barnes’ first season.
The game will air on either ESPN, ESPN 2 or ESPNU.
