The Vols officially received some running back depth on Monday, in the form of former UNC-Charlotte commit Joseph Young.
Ryan Callahan, of 247Sports, confirmed the news on Monday afternoon.

Young is a 6’0″/192 lb running back from Winnsboro, SC. According to 247Sports, Young received an offer from the Vols on National Signing Day.
Tennessee has very little depth behind stud running backs Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara.
Young will join fellow 2015 signee John Kelly in giving the Vols some much needed depth at the position.
Vol fans probably hope Young doesn’t see the field often in his first season (that would mean an injury has occurred), but it’s certainly nice to have a backup plan just in case.
