There’s a reason the SEC is considered one of the toughest conferences in all of college football — it’s a daily grind that’s incredibly physical .
Tennessee Vols true freshman Drew Richmond, who just reported to Knoxville, is already feeling the physicality of the next level.
Friday has a whole different meaning once you get to the SEC, it's a blessing if you walking by Friday

That’s certainly one way to describe your first week of SEC workouts.
Richmond is expected to be the Vols’ answer at left tackle, perhaps as soon as this season. But it won’t be easy.
The Memphis native is probably already one of the most talented offensive linemen on the team. In a lot of conferences he’d immediately assume a starting role.
But that’s not how it works in the SEC. Even playing on a offensive line that struggled last season, Richmond isn’t assured a starting spot. Especially since he didn’t go through spring practice.
Starting a true freshman on your offensive line is a risk. Starting a true freshman at left tackle is just plain crazy.
Richmond, however, isn’t your typical true freshman. He has the potential to be an All-SEC caliber player.
And I believe he will get there.
But first, he must make it through the tough workouts and grind of the summer heat.
