Dobbs Named One Of Smartest Players In College Football

Tennessee’s starting quarterback Josh Dobbs is pretty impressive on the football field.

But he’s even more impressive off the field.

Vol fans are well aware of the insane course load that Dobbs is taking at UT.

The aerospace engineering student is more than just the smartest player in the SEC, he’s probably one of the smartest students in the whole conference.

NFL.com recently named their top 15 smartest players in college football and Dobbs came in at second on their list (he was the top rated SEC player).

Here’s what they had to say about Dobbs.

"The Volunteers’ starting quarterback and the program’s single best hope for a quicker turnaround is an aerospace engineering major. While he was commanding the UT offense in spring practice, his class schedule included a course in thermodynamics, one on circuit components, and a third that sounds like lots of fun: matrix computations. Our matrix computes that football is elementary for Dobbs."

Dobbs is ridiculous on the field and off the field.

While most of us are worried about whether or not we can get paid to blog, Dobbs is wondering whether he should pass up the NFL for a career in aerospace engineering.

Must be nice.
