5. Jordan McRae (58th pick to San Antonio Spurs)

McRae got us all excited at the chance to join the Spurs, but then was traded to the joke that is the Philadelphia 76ers on draft night.

After a freshman season in 2010 where he only saw action in ten games, nobody knew that his career would be as successful as it was.

McRae increased his scoring total and field goal percentage through each of his four seasons.

He was the leading scorer in his junior year (15 ppg) and senior season (18 ppg) and undoubtedly showed the ability to score in the NBA.

After being drafted and traded to the 76ers, it looked like the guard would get a chance to play in the NBA. McRae starred in the NBA Summer League averaging 21 points per game, and being named to All-NBA Summer League Second Team. A list that included Rudy Gobert (Starting Center for the Jazz), Tim Hardaway Jr. (Knicks), Russ Smith (now with the Grizzlies), and T.J. Warren (Suns).

However, McRae did not make the roster for the 76ers and played a stint in Australia. McRae made his way back to the states to the Delware 87ers of the NBA Development League.

As McRae continues to progress in his game, maybe we will see him make his way onto an NBA roster in the upcoming seasons.
