Parker burst onto the scene the next year, but the Lady Vols lost in the Elite Eight to UNC. The drought had reached eight years, and Parker did not run from it. The next year, despite tough losses in the regular season, the Lady Vols went on a tear at the end of the year.

Led by Parker, they made it to the Final Four and came back to beat UNC to win their seventh national title. Parker was the catalyst for a repeat in 2008, and her accomplishments are amazing as an All-American, player of the year winner, and two-time national champion. She is in the clear-cut Top Two among Lady Vols athletes. But who is No. 1?

But Parker suffered a knee injury her freshman year and was forced to redshirt, and the Lady Vols blew a huge lead in the Fial Four to eventual national champion Baylor.
