C.J. Watson to Join Tobias Harris in Orlando
By Seth Norris
Former Vol point guard C.J. Watson will reportedly be joining former Vol Tobias Harris with the Orlando Magic.
The 31-year old has spent the last two seasons with the Indiana Pacers averaging just over 20 minutes per game.
Watson, coming off a 10 ppg season, will be a much needed veteran on a young Orlando team. The former Vol is heading into his 9th season in the league, and has been apart of the playoffs with the Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets, and of course the Indiana Pacers.
The former Buzz Peterson recruit went undrafted in 2006, and played stints in Italy and Greece before landing a spot with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers D-League team in 2007-08 where he was eventually picked up by the Golden State Warriors.
Since landing on a roster, Watson has not averaged under 10 minutes a game at any point during his career.
Watson has made a successful career as a back-up point guard, and his experience will see him continue to get major minutes on a young team.
Once the deal gets signed, Josh Richardson, Tobias Harris, and Watson will all be apart of Florida teams. Florida is looking much better with Tennessee orange coming in its borders.
